I remember Carr st very well a few doors from Walter Wilsons was a shop that sold cakes biscuits,at the front of the counter were two big tubs the height of the counter the contained broken biscuits which were sold l think at twopence a bag as kids after we sold our papers we would pig ourselves .
l carn,t think of the name of the shop but next door lived a school friend from the Quay school his name was Aurther Horne the back yard which ran through to Lyon st was a hen run chicken run l remember chasing Aurther down the yard and sliding on the mess ended up covered in it.
