I was sent to that shop very often from Dee Road! We left there 1969. I seem to have a memory of the shop changing to a help yourself arrangement rather than ask at the counter. Sorry no idea of names.
My brother and I loved those shops, heading straight there with our half a crown pocket money each week to the Top Shop or the Post Office. In my memory matchbox cars were sold in the Post Office for 2 shillings and 11d as my brother often talked my parents into 4d more!
