Re: Jacob Rees-Mogg & The Message
They might get in quicker if the right systems were in place, they had them travelling from France to Belgium for different parts of the application. Don't announce until you have an idea how to implement it, otherwise you're just getting further behind and staff are trying to learn the systems as they implement it. Not good , you would think there would be systems ot templates in place for various scenarios but we as a country don't by the looks of it, we were woefully under prepared for covid despite warnings from exercises a few years previously, the government ignored the advice, there seems to be too much on the hoof planning and I use that word advisedly. The government will have civil servants in place but also the application s and links to families need to be simplified, this country is obsessed with forms, and to people who are traumatised its the last thing they need. A one stop centre where everything could be done would be more efficient for everyone instead if travelling hundreds of miles for each part of the process. It would also be a lot more cost effective.
