Reguarding the stained glass windows, were are they a few years ago it came up on the board that they were stored at South Tyne side council offices at South Shields.
I know a couple were still at Clegwell they were on the double door opposite boss Kelletts ,leading to the assembley hall,l saw them myself l even took a photo of them,it would be about 7 or 8 years ago while I was on walkabout around little old Hebburn,l walked in the Campbell park road entrance with my camera,a man came up and asked me what l wanted,he was the care taker l exsplained he invited me in the school, the corridor leading to the assembley hall to the right past the toilets on the right hand side were the stained glass windows depicting all the operas, they were not there, the windows were all done by mr THompsons art class, which was done Tuesdays,l was disappointed that they were gone, never the less l have a photo some where which I will try and find, where the stained glass are now may be in a store room,or may be in some sandancers house, who knows just a shame.ps l will lobby south Tyneside council when I am next up to little old HEBBURN. Happy days. tb
