While it's nice to read that disused areas are being redeveloped as housing, I'm always curious to know (reading from afar as I am) whether South Tyneside Council gives consideration to the need that all these new residents will have for schools, medical offices and all the other necessary local amenities. Also, are there enough jobs in the area to bring people in?
