Allan, I think that you are very fit being able to do what you are doing especially in that heat. To contemplate a bike ride up Mount Ventoux what can I say, I find it hard work being a passenger in a car going up Mount Ventoux!!! I have to say sitting in a restaurant in Sault listening to the bikers stories, some of them going up and down more than once, is quite something else, if you manage that trip that will be quite an achievement.
