The lad operating the winch on the titan crane is John ogle who is a hebburn lad who was my brother Gordon's good mate who used to live in I think Barrow street just off argyle St. The skipper on the ferry is called jack can't remember his last name but he started about 75/76ish, he's from shields and used to skipper the shields ferries I was engine lad with him used to take over the wheel from him when he used to slip up to the hobby pub at walker for a quick one most nights. The rope lad is donny baxter who lived along the road from me in lyon St the three of us worked together all the time. I must of left to go in the yards just before this film was shot.
