Thanks for the generous offer Mike. But we can't do anything without getting the Iona's backing.
I've been told by a good friend that there is a CCTV camera outside the Subway Shop, and it is monitored 24/7 by operators in Barrington St, South Shields.
I wonder if they saw anything when the plaque was vandalised. Maybe our towns need more CCTV Camera's installed like Shields has.
Here below is how well Shields looks after itself.
South Shields has 76 CCTV Camera's and little old Hebburn has 5 (YES just FIVE).
