My maternal Grandmother was Nanina (Nan) Jeffrey - Daughter of Nicola Fionda, who also ran her own greengrocer / general shop near Palmers shipyard until the early 70’s. My parents met whilst working at palmers, married in 1960 and moved to Scarborough, where I was born and brought up.
