That staithe & the surrounding area was a large part of my childhood, spent many years playing down there, fell off it twice into the river, had to stay out for ages 'till my clothes dried, me mam would 'ave kilt is if a'd gone home damp. My dad used to take me down when I was but a nipper, the staithe was still working & there was at least one, possibly two pubs he used to go into. Anyone know what the pub(s) were called. ( Can't ask dad, he's deed)
