They used to come into the yards on the Tyne to allow people to give blood, it when I was in the AMEC yard an electrician went back to work after and died, that ended that. I am also prevented from giving blood anymore for medical reasons. I had to go to a session to find out I was no longer able to, more advertising and information needed to promote this good cause, as you say it doesn’t hurt and an excuse for a nice lie down😊
