Thank you Liz and Geordieboy and everyone else. I moved from the North East back in 1988 to the Midlands so I do know a few places but its been so long ago. Husband is a midlander and after 2 visits to Newcastle he loves the place. My aunt and uncle used to live on City Road, Newcastle as caretakers and moved to Westerhope back in the 1970’s. I spent some idyllic times there staying at their flat. I used to go with them to the quayside market on a Sunday morning and also went to Jesmond Dene and other places. Thank you for your helpful advice. I love Newcastle.
