Our NHS was the best in the world that was until we started letting all and sundry use it without any attempt to stop the abuse.

Now we have an ever increasing population which is not helping, as mentioned there are far too many white colour ‘workers’, as I have said a complete overhaul of the system should be carried out pronto, we can’t keep throwing money at a system that is not working.

Like you Mac my husband and I would be prepared to pay privately for some procedures should the need arise but it does make me feel annoyed that people who have rocked up on our shores, paid nothing into our society are the able to see a GP, dentist or whoever immediately whilst we, the payers, have to wait not so patiently.

I don’t think the issues are the fault of doctors or nurses but others who think they know it all.

As for dentists, the problems with dentists or lack of them can go back right to the door step of that horrible man Tony Blair, I can’t bring myself to call him Sir as I really feel he should never have been given that award.
