Thank you for looking Norman. This chap, Ian Wilkinson, has a photo taken ALONG High Street showing the name of the pub overhanging the street but none of the pub itself. His ancestor Edward Wilkinson was born 1904 and it was his parents who ran the pub. Info for Bill : Ian has no idea why a Jarrow pub would be called The Hylton Castle when (as you say) that is an area of Sunderland but Thank You too for taking an interest and searching.
