My son has had it done on both My Heritage and Ancestry.

The My Heritage 82% English 18% Iberian.

The Ancestry 66% Scotland, 11% England and NW Europe, 11% Wales, 9% Ireland,3% Germanic Europe.

This is also broken down to certain area of Scotland in particular.

In all the test is in line with my family History researches for my and Ann’s families.

I asked at our Family History group meeting about DNA testing on Thursday. One of the 2 experts explained that Ancestry had a far wider data base than the others.

He also said that after you have had the test additional results will come in over the years as more people have. Their DNA tested.

I’m going to have mine tested as it will be different to my son’s, male line, not so much, but the female line should be as it’s my mothers line not Ann’s.
