Just seen these posts. Eileen Hudson was at Aloysius and St. Antonys Grammar School with me. I can't be sure but Laydons shop was on the corner of William and Albert Street. I can vaguely remember a shop next door to my grannies who lived opposite the Gem Cinema. Two sisters owned it and didn't seem to sell very much. The last I heard of Eileen she went on a cruise met a man and lived in Texas.
