I do go off at tangents too Allan! Pulling it together really is my next plan and cutting it down although I agree about the 32,000! I avoid those ones myself Getting a few trees printed is also the plan for others who find looking at Ancestry or printed bits of tree confusing.
I’m very happy to be corrected as I’d rather it was right. That’s what I tell people when we connect. Someone did recently, I’d made an assumption about my great grandad that he was born in Tranent East Lothian and I had the certificate from Scotlandspeople. In subsequent census returns in Sunderland, Hebburn, Durham his birth was Sunderland and a year out. Turns out the first one must’ve died and the next child had the same name ( quite common I know) and it took someone else to track that down. She was very persistent and it was confirmed by another birth certificate.
I agree the hints have been a bit dodgy lately
