There are a variety of schools here in the Harrogate area both State and Private.

The type cars let you know which is which, as does the amount of parking around 3 pm ish. Not around at start times now as usually doing jobs.

I feel that by dropping the limit to 20 could make pedestrians more careless, however there are a few roads in Harrogate nowhere near schools etc. that need speed restrictions as parking is on both sides of the road. Particularly Valley drive and Harlow Moor Drive ( the worst) and there are loads of narrow streets where they have had to make them one way.

Most drivers do take care but there’s always ONE.

The enforcement of these lower limits ? Expensive To put in cameras.

Wait and see. When I lived in Hebburn there were not a lot of cars but now!
