One thing that I have to do is to make a support for a door curtain to our front door. It’s going to be a bit difficult as I doubt standard off to shelf items will do.
Regretfully the front door is like a freezer panel in cold conditions and that costs £.
Our heat and hot water for the last 30 days cost £156. I will have to check usage with the last few years.
As I log usage every month I can go back some years on my spreadsheet.
Why do I bother checking. We are linked in to my daughters oil tank and have a meter so that we can pay our dues.
With todays costs of fuel you have to try to minimise.
When we first moved down to Harrogate in 1969 we were in a rented house with no central heating and we were hunched around an open fire. The winter of 1969 up to two weeks before Xmas were hard. We were in our new house for the Xmas thank goodness, Bliss a Rayburn or similar heating system.
Of course as we are now both nearly 80 we cannot stand the cold as we used to.
In my scuba diving days I went from a wet suit to a dry suit but never had the chance to try. A heated dry suit. I gather that there are some available for sports divers these days but Cost!
Now there’s a thought why not have a heated suit or jacket.
Seen heated gloves for cycling so there might be, just never looked. Battery power and you plug it in to charge as required.
The technology is there.
