Walter was my dad's cousin. He was a foreman "marker off" in Reyrolle and had a remarkable memory. He was married to the late Isobel Trainor. He once told me his father Ted Wears grew yellow tomatoes as they didn't have as much sugar making them ideal for diabetic people.
