Norman, a suggestion, some one please contact south shields council, what we need to encourage tourism and assist elderly residents is a hop on off electric tram running from the market square along king street , cross fowler street , along Ocean road to the foot of the pier . Wouldn't require rails or overhead wires. Could be a seasonal service , right now there is no transportation connecting each end of the suggested rout, which is a deterent .
