Yes at one time you didnt go to Windows if you wanted "popular" stuff. But in time they caught on that the new trend was here to stay and a trip downstairs became worthwhile.
But most if not many of us started our pop journey at Alf Gibsons and the Binns record dept in Shields was ok too.
