To all engineering and shipyard workers those Covid memorials look like they've been burned out of a large slab of steel with an oxy-aceteline torch.
Will there be memorials for victims of Diptheria, Measles, Meningitis & Polio installed later? By me asking this it shows its a stupid idea aswell as wasting council tax payers money.
As has been said the Council weren't interested in the Bombing Victims memorial but thanks to the late Mike Lynch we got one and it was no thanks to the Council. Mike was ex Councillor and was disgusted at our Hebburn 'bunch'.
Just like Ernie insinuates, why do we have Councillors who do nothing for the Town. Just remember this at the next elections.
Remember how I wanted a Feature Wall of 100 framed old photos in the HUB and was told lies saying they have a Plain Walls Policy? another great example of our Councillors.
Another excuse from the Leader (a Whitburn Councillor) was 'it's not art'.

PS. Our local Cemetery headstones were laid down for safety purposes. Then this Council decide to install memorials much taller and easier to push over.
