Hi Mac , no difference with signal in your postcode area, as to Apple iPhones, they can be very difficult to use with respect to our age (70s) you have to setup emails and security and then also thing called "iCloud" and if you forget your password, it is a nightmare to get your phone to reset and even more difficult to unlock , in my opinion stay away from iPhone ,stick with Samsung, far better to use, good camera, good security called "Knox" and so better for sound, just set it or a lower bandwidth 3G AD 4G if you require any help I can pop down sort it out, so may not need a new phone at all, just go "SIM CARD ONLY" cheaper, hope this helps.
