Sad reality

When we see news reports on TV, we sometimes wonder if it is dramatised a bit. However, I've experienced the sad plight of the NHS. Having waited 3 hours for an emergency ambulance following a stroke, there was one paramedic and a young army lad. At Wisden hospital, near St Helens this emergency was met with a corridor jam packed with trollies full of people. After waiting more hours,a young nurse broke down with the pressure and was led away to rest. This is the reality of it first hand. On the wards, more chaos with staff running crazy. I've now seen it first hand but also irate people on trollies. The real fact is I'm backing all NHS workers because they're pushed to the extreme limits and I'm grateful they are there. Not forgetting the army lads who didn't sign up for this. I'm well looked after but thankful for a great team. They get my backing every time....
