There was a terminal around the island in front of Marsden Inn. Not sure if the trolley lines went down the hill or not. Compared to the diesel bus replacement the Trolley Buses were very environmentaly friendly and efficient. Let's hope the Great North Run returns to it's original route,ran it once,more scenic than last year's covid alternative route in Newcastle area.
