This 1959 photo shows a drained 'Second Lake' after it and the other three lakes were simply drained in 1959.(NOT filled in like some people thought).

As I say on the photo, the lakes were considered a danger after 4 little children fell through the thin ice.
That water logged rowing boat that had been on the lake bed for yearsssss once belonged to the Ellison Family who had a boathouse at the east side of the lake.
