GeordieboyNS, As I remember it, these little tots were playing out side their homes or near their homes. I only knew two of the Mums who were very caring, I’m sure they all were. In 1956/57 they was little traffic, there was a space between houses as I remember and that’s where they went onto the ice on the lake. As far as I remember they were cherished children.
