Allan, we are driving to Lake Garda early May, we used to do the journey in 3 days but as we are getting older, we also now have more time, we will take 5 days, I don’t think towing a caravan on some if the narrow roads round the Lakes would be a good idea, but we have seen it, a bit scary though. Other parts of Italy would be fine towing, you have the time give it a try one year.
