Don’t like hotels or b&b etc. unless I have to.

Cruise very much doubt it unless very special.

Hire a hatch or motor vessel more my line but just not on as my navigation skills rusty and difficult to get into a wet suit these days

Might look at flying to Sicily and a tour round the Island, that appeal’s but the flying ?
