I've added all the locations to this 1933 photo from memory. From being a baby to when I was 9yrs I lived in an old upstairs Flat in Lyon St (Just 50 yards out of shot to the left) with a backyard toilet, no hot water. Then in 1953 we got a new Council house between the Slag Heap & First Lake with an indoor toilet, bathroom, hot water & gardens front & back. My Granda Dunn lived in Cuthbert and thought we were mad moving miles out in the Country away from all the shops.
