I recall going to the Labour club on a Sunday afternoon with my dad in the 1960's. One guy named Gerry Dorsey was on, Dickie bow the lot. He didn't go down well with his ballads. The concert room was full of men reading the News Of The World. Hardly anyone took a blind bit of notice of the man! Today he's done the USA and world tours as Englebert Humperdink and is a very top star. It just goes to prove how wrong we under estimated a star!
