I think it depends on what your going to print. I print alot of Invoices and lables and use 2 laser printers ....a Dell and an old Samsung. Toners last for ages and never dry up like inkjets. But mine are only mono , so no good for photos. For colour photos I use a Canon Pixma TS5050 and I get the 4 inks quite cheap... around about £13.00 a set. I always found Epson printers great for photo's and HP good printers for text. I think before buying a printer check out the cost of replacement inks first then that may determine what make to go for.
