Hebburn born Tom Barker hasn't been on the board for a while due to health problems. This is the Joiner's shop where he served his time. He's not on it as he was still at school in 1948. Then in 1955 he started there as a wood Machinist. When he finished his apprenticeship he emigrated to Australia. Tom has a good memory so I am going to put some of his Hebburn Quay memories on the board soon. Get well soon Tom.
