I sent a letter to the directors of the RNLI in Poole head office a while ago. In it I explained that the RNLI was rapidly losing face due to the ferry service in the Channel. As they are not government funded, I also asked why the public was paying for the fuel and wages to crew members. Finally I stated Mr. Starmer had no intention of stopping the ferry service and the RNLI was the only way to stop it by pulling the plug pronto . The funds have dropped enormously and at this rate, there will soon be NO RNLI. I have NOT received a reply which is what I expected so letter No2 is about to be sent.
