There's still a few old lanes in Newcastle where you sort of get the feel of how it once was. I used to enjoy taking the kids exploring up and down the Quayside steps and thereabouts... There always had to be a lot of pretending we were lost and I'm sure the McDonald's was here somewhere! I've one more grandson, now aged 18 months to put through the experience... I'm not sure the knees will take it though!
