In 1960–62 I drove up Ellison St. to turn left onto Argyle St.

There was snow on the ground and light snow falling.

I just got turned onto Argyle St and a copper stopped me and told me off for not stopping at the top of Ellison St.

If there was a white line there I cannot remember but it would have been covered with snow anyway.

That was the first time that I had been stopped ( no. 1 out of 2)

Am I correct in thinking that there was a police box about 5 yards or so to the east of the Argyle St. junction with Ellison St.
