As an Election will be held on July 4th 2024 we are waivering our 'No Politics Rule aslong as Posts are Respectful and don't include exhortations to vote one way or another.Re: A piece of Felling History compiled by George Watt
I had to drive down Sunderland Road yesterday, it's looks so dead compared to the Sunderland Road I knew in the 1960s/70s most of the pubs gone, the shopping area is literally non existent although there's an Aldi approximately on the site of the old Essoldo but to be honest not a lot more. The Felling social club is gone too, a sign of the times. There's a lot of new houses on the North side of the road but I cannot see a lot in the way of amenities for the residents. I don't know when I'll be back along that way but I hope it becomes a more vibrant area than present.
