Brian our nearest neighbour has been very nervous about coming round to our house with his abundance of vegetables because some of them are misshapen, in particular he was most concerned about his Charlotte potato's they were quite big, and courgettes, the Charlottes have been really lovely, we don’t really eat courgettes so have declined his offerings, he is bringing us runner beans tomorrow.

We have had offers of lots of cauliflowers, one of his sons insisted that the dad planted cauliflowers, which he did, just as the cauliflowers were ready to eat the son has gone off for 6 weeks travelling, the father is most upset!!

Later this morning we are off to a cherry farm, cherries are still being harvested in Herefordshire.

Brian your apple trees might take a bit longer to recover from the hacking you have given them, we ha ke+ ours right back a couple of years ago, this year there are more apples than the previous 2 years - happy harvesting.
