When I lived and worked in Stavanger over 40 yrs ago there was fear of it then.I believe Flekefjord is about 1000 ft deep Allan so I it would cause a big tidal wave if it does go. There's thousands of tons of solid rock hanging over the cliff. Tap in pulpit rock and you'll see it. It takes 1hr 20mins from newcastle to stavanger by air so it would hit Scotland first.
