I always look for a Step to aid me, usually a curb or a bit of raised ground.
Got sick of near falling off so I have just had fitted a dropper post fitted to my road e bike. A lever drops the saddle by 50 mm you can buy ones with larger drops but they tend to be for MTB’s.
I have just had this dropper post fitted and not tried it yet, tomorrow’s job.
On Wednesday I went out on my other road bike none e bike just to see if I could still ride it physically following my heart attack etc.
Delighted to say no bother at all except Slow. I went on my normal training route but the short version of 9 miles instead of 11.5.
I’m very suprised that today Not the slightest stiffness or other problems, I had expected to be knackered.
What I did notice is although both bikes a near identical in size I could get on and off the standard bike without too much bother.
Why could that be, the e bike is heavy and therefore more difficult to handle or am I getting a bit more flexible ( hope so)
I’m now going to try to ride my standard bike again, thank goodness it never sold two years ago.
E bike for hilly routes the standard for flatish routes.
I wonder if when away on holiday should I take both bikes !!
Both bikes great but they are different to ride, one more agile then the other.
