I recall Roy Austick who had his business behind Simpsons Hotel. Roy drove a jaguar and I met him at the new build DSS building in Longbenton. I needed 2 small bags of concrete mix urgently as something had cropped up we were not expecting, so Roy kindly loaned me 2 bags on the condition I repaid him with interest! 3 bags! No wonder he drove a Jaguar!
