The ridged building was the Printroom where I would take drawings for Blueprints, Photostats 1958 to1966.
The prints changed from Blueprints to a black and white type over that period.
Louis Fionda had the shop on the corner at bottom of Caledonian St. but the house next to it towards the school had been demolished as that was where I parked my car 1960 to 1963.
Ann & I used to walk up to cross the wooden bridge, up Caledonian St. then I think Dumhope St. to get to the bridge.
A few yards along Ropery Lane to the bridge Campbell St. side.
All the housing in the area demolished, WHY were they demolished.
Were they of a poorer quality than those still standing in Ann, Church, Parliament and Price Streets.
Of course the Newtown suffered the same destruction.
