I think we will probably miss the major of the storm, thank goodness.

We have started to eat apples from our trees, so far we have 3 varieties on the go, an Apple Strudel will be made at the weekend, then I think an apple and plum crumble might be made, our neighbour has been found with Victoria plums so will stew those with the cooking apples from our trees. I wish I could make use of redcurrants, our neighbour has loads, I have made redcurrant ice cream which was rather nice, maybe I will scour the cook books for something.

Brian, your harvest sounds interesting, happy eating.
