I worked on Hinkley B for Reyrolle and stayed in the on site accommodation which was a room in a long wooden hut with a shared washroom. The canteen served very basic food. A lot of the workforce were Irish who had the weekly meal costs deducted from their pay so as to make sure they had proper meals and not to spend it all in the on site bar. I can also remember that the bingo in the bar was run by the resident Catholic Priest who usually expected a donation from your winnings to the church. It seem from you article that things have improved greatly from my time there. Happy days Michael
