I've double checked my research and Catherine's husband, Thomas Tweddell, was indeed the first cousin of my grandfather, also called Thomas although my Thomas, born in 1905, was 15 years younger than his namesake. My dad used to talk about how he helped out in the shop when he was in his teens (my dad was born in 1936).
