A fantastic building. Built in 1872
Where did the money come from to build it. I assume Leslie’s and the people of the quay plus the Carr-Ellisons.
The Ellison family bought the land etc. in Hebburn 1658 I think
The Carr Ellisons May have move away from Hebburn in around 1870 but there is not much info.
