Brian, through the years, I think the only way the Geordie accent disappears, is if you have elocution classes. My daughter , a great mimic does Liverpool and Birmingham to perfection.. Great doing Lord Cunningham as posh Geordie. He is worse than Robson Green. In his defence, we all have to tone it down to make ourselves understood. Darn Sarff!
