I moved away from Bill Quay in November 1970, having lived in London, to begin with i flated with Aussies and New Zealanders. Many, many times now I am asked if I am from South Africa, I am never taken for a Geordie, I think I might have picked up a bit of the Aussie and New Zealand accents!!!
