There is a high spot where Lawe Road meets Ocean road. The road falls away from that point in both directions but not by much and you would need an OS map with the levels marked on it. However as I remember there was a gradual fall from Lawe Road down to the Pier end. If you look on Google street view at look towards King Street the Lamp post appear the get shorter but of course their not it’s parallax. In the photo I think the buildings towards Kings Street beyond Lawe Road have been painted in. Someone could just walk it! Allan C.
